BAHARAT

 

From the Arabic, meaning 'spices,' baharat is an Iraqi spice typically used with meats, rice, and pickling. Roots Baharat softens the dominant cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg with sweet paprika to produce a colorful yet delicately warm, sweet and smoky blend.

 

SHAWARMA 

Roots Shawarma is a complex, sweet-bitter blend that evokes Turkish kitchens and Middle Eastern street food. The interaction of stronger spices like cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon makes this a dominant blend that offers rich taste, depth, and an almost tangible aroma.

Inspiration in every way

The package is gorgeous, first of all. We eat with our eyes first. But then it’s really what’s inside that counts.
Aromas that took me on journeys to far away places that I wish I could return to (including 12 Seats in NYC!). The smell alone inspired me to get cooking.
Then pure poppin’ flavors had me experimenting with recipes from the website (just scan the label and you’re there) - and making a few new ones up myself.
